Za’atar is a private recipe box for one family and the households they choose to connect with. It is invite-only — nobody can sign up on their own — and there is nothing here to monetize, so there is nothing here that sells or shares your data with anyone. This page says plainly what the app stores, why, and who can see it.
Everyone in your household sees everything in your household’s box. A connected household can see a recipe only after you explicitly share it with them — connecting alone shows nobody anything. Nothing is visible to a household you have not connected with.
Your data is stored with Supabase, the database and authentication service this app runs on. Supabase processes it on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes. No other third party has access.
Open Account from the recipe box (web: the top nav; iOS: the toolbar icon next to Your Table) and choose Delete my account. This removes your login and anything personal to it, permanently. Recipes and notes you added stay in the household for everyone else there — they belong to the family, not to you alone. Questions about what stays or goes: email mdrzewie@gmail.com.
Reach out at mdrzewie@gmail.com with anything about this policy or your data.
